I wish someone would have
given me some kind of advice
meeting for growing up;
I wish someone would have
given me more than just rules
& restrictions when it came to
my maturing, but some guidance
when it came to how they made
it through where I was & where
they are now, not comparisons,
this nor that, not being thrown
to the wolves & watching doggy paddle
through the pool of my blood, guts,
tears & flesh just to climb up on the
other side to repeat.
