I want to comfort the world

I want to comfort the world,  but the world does not accept me.  It does not want the gentle warnings of a mother,  who can then comfort you...

A Flower for Your Grave

A girl walking home, the same path it’s always been.
Head’s held low as she walks almost as if telling the
sun who wants to shine on her, that she wishes not
to be bothered today, Across her, on the path, she
finds an uprooted flower, smashed and collided
with the pavement. Death by somebody's foot
who didn’t value a life, even one this small.
And the girl knelt down, sympathizing with
the smashed flower on the sidewalk,
Little flower, She said,
gravity has not been nice to you,
it had not been nice to me.
It trampled you underfoot with the luggage
it throws on you.
You once stood proudly in your field.
your comfort zone,
someone then forced you out of it,
the same thing has happened to me.
Now it’s only a matter of time till you’re reunited
with the ground that didn’t bother to fight for you.
Soon enough so will I.
You once met your angle of death, soon will I,
all the while you saw the form your’s came in the form of,
while I only know mine could come in many forms.

And the girl picked the flower up as if it were a baby bird
discarded from its nest,
I’ll lay you at your final resting place
as I will soon be put down to mine.
